Today was one of those days that almost everything goes wrong and you really wish you were anywhere but the place you stand. Lucy was awake sick most of the night so with a null amount of sleep I stumbled out of bed this morning foggy headed. Some of the rest of the days events consist of ...
. a big glass of milk spilled on the floor
. an exhausting event of convincing ellie it was to cold for a skirt (we settled on knee highs and boots with the skirt.)
. a strange man at my door trying to sell me meat. (and woke lucy up from her morning nap)
. clogged toilet (serinity now... serinity now..)
. ran out of hot water in the middle of shaving my legs (ohhh.. I hate that)
. way to much laundry
. and crushed Christmas bulbs (compliments of the neighbor boy).
Maybe it doesn't seem that bad.... and I guess on most days these things happen and I take them with stride maybe it was the lack of sleep that magnifies everything 10 times but it seemed like the worst! It was the day where lucy's nap and ellie's pre-school could not come soon enough. It came and then.... Lucy woke up and Ellie got home and surprisingly thats what made me happy... the sound of the door closing and Ellie yelling my name and telling me about her day... and little lucy's big smile appearing on her face combined with her kicks of excitement as she sees me coming to get her from her crib.(feeling much better) It made me think how ironic it is that the little bundle that triggered my stumbling wreck of a day is one of the 3 things that made my day (my kids).

Thanksgiving Weekend 2007
We had a good thanksgiving weekend the best part was just being together and relaxing. Okay I know that most people love thanksgiving but I am just not one of those people. I usually want to go somewhere so there is more to Thanksgiving than just a dinner. But this year we relunctantly stayed home and I must say it ended up being pretty great. A lot of down time with a few activities in between. Thanksgiving day... dinner of course, football, bad mitten, pie, more football, games. The rest of the weekend kangaroo zoo, BYU-UTAH football game, lights at temple square, naps, hot chocloate, hot tubbin and on Sunday we got out the Christmas decorations and turned on some Christmas tunes..! That was fun.. the kids were so excited.. I think that is the best part of Thanksgiving as Ellie says it so well "When Thanksgiving is over it's time for Christmas". I LOVE Christmas! I think I need to create other traditions for Thanksgiving weekend other than the dinner and I will like it better. Maybe I will follow in the footsteps of this year.. it was a success. I think I will trade the Kangaroo zoo in for a great movie though. So Happy Holiday Season everyone that great time of the year is finally upon us.

Thanksgiving food yummers.. look at that cute pie crust
compliments of the chef (sister in law michelle).

fall swing
I usually have the November glums right about now... dark to early.. not a lot to do outside due
to cold weather and NO snow... but.. thanks to this nice weather this first part of November has been pretty good. Working in the yard, bike rides, and the swing of course. I guess we are just trying to soak up the golden sun rays before the November glums set in, they are coming I know sad but true. I guess the good side to it is the glums leave and the beautiful powdery white snow comes falling in. Here are some pictures of us enjoying sunny beautiful no glum days.

Boo! Canyon was a vampire quite possibly inspired by Edward. When he got home from trick o treating he was very good at organizing
all of his candy in a long line.. 10 butterfingers, 4 red suckers, 6 nerds ect.
I used to do that when I was little..so it was cute to see his strategies to see how
much candy he really did have, and it was a lot!! I think he might need some help
to finish it off.
Ellie was Phocohantus she was quick to correct anyoneher called her an Indian by informing them that she was
phocohantus and phocohantus is a princess. I dont think
she wanted to ruin her reputation around the neighborhood
by not being a princess.
Lucy had her first Halloween and her first Cold at thesame time..poor lucy.. I guess she was a little
coughing mouse.

our porch decor. canyon and ellie thought
these were so funny. ooooh so scary I'm
surprised we got any trick o treaters!
