little yoga masters

Ellie started doing head stands.
Then Lucy started practicing them.
Then Ellie moved on to hand stands.
Then Lucy mastered the head stand.
Then they both mastered there technique on a this desert mountain trail.
No better place for a little yoga I suppose.

driving with the windows down

The first thing Lucy said upon our arrival when she threw back the curtains was.
"Yep I guess it's summer now! There's a flower!"
For a little while it was spring.
And we were not taking it for granted.
Spinning at the park
Bear Paw poppy mt. bike trail.
Sand dunes
hikes
caves
swimming
morning runs without a hat.
a little golf
ice cream cones {outside}
and my personal favorite driving with the windows down.
It feels SOOO good to do that the first time of the season.
It was refreshing.
Oh...did I mention we got to go with our good friends.
Who happen to bring a few kids our kids LOVE.
They were in heaven and spent the last hour of the trip begging to stay longer.
I hated saying no. I could have handled a little longer myself.
More pics to come. :)

I love you red rocks

Red rocks in the winter.
I love you.

We started our weekend a little early kissing the snow blower goodbye
and saying a happy hello to sunshine.

the things that make her.....her.

The things I love about Lucy at 3.
{in no particular order}

She is a nuzzler.
Always tells me good morning.
Cried when the Christmas tree came down.
Still sings Christmas songs when she cleans her room or uses the bathroom.
Even though it's March.
And let's be honest how often do you get to hear a little voice in the public stall next to you singing.
Red striped candy, nut cracker candy.
It's pretty funny.
The girl has mad head stand skills.
She in now incorporating yoga moves into them.
Always asks the banker for an extra sucker for Ellie..
and then actually saves it for her.
She is brave.
If you let her pick a movie these days. She will say GHOSTBUSTERS!
Expresses her love for salad. All.the.time. She wants it for breakfast.
She has practically gone on strike against most toddler foods.
Is convinced she knows the man she will marry and
she is not even a little shy about it. Not.at.all.
Is a lover of lip gloss.
Dreams of owning a puppy. She wants one really, really bad.
I guess for now her stuffed one named pie will have to hold her over.

So grateful for all the little sweet things that make her.....her
and all the super weird ones too. :)
